This was at 9:05am at work. Check out the humidity. You have to peel the family jewels off the inside thy before you take the first leak of the day. And degree deodorant? For get it.

Oh and everything grows bigger in Texas. Even weird bugs. I didn't want to put my hand too close. He's liable to light my azz up.

Oh boy, brings back old memories from my Army days. Between the PI and Vietnam, they had bugs and stuff that made old B-Horror movies look like household pets! The first night I spent in Okinawa, a centipede about 8 inches long fell from the ceiling and landed on my back! I thought it was a fly and flicked it off. It landed on my pillow and scared the holy crap out of me!

I saw nothing anywhere on the Japan islands that even came close to those in India. The combination of monsoons and humidity grows monster bugs. The good news is that the monkeys like eating them :)

Okinawa was not tropical, but did have some interesting wildlife! It had a snake called the Habu, I believe that is the spelling, that was poisonous, and very nasty sealife also.

You are right about the tropics. Like I said, the PI and Vietnam had some nasty critters. We hit the trench line one night (rocket attack) and were greeted by some kind of python. I am not sure what specific species it was, but one of the guys killed it with his k-bar. Lot of weird bugs also.

Next. July, August, and September ... Please don't remind me Glenn. So have you stopped those crazy neighbors from feeding the deer? Folks let me tell you. You haven't seen what a deer problem looks like until you've been to Glenn's beautiful ranch house. When we have the annual ZR-1 BBQ and your leaving there are literally herds of deer running along side your vette. It's a nail biter.

Nope, Goofy is out there every day with his pink (honest) bucket full of deer corn.

Anyhow, y'all grab a cold Shiner Bock and check this out:

Lots of pictures of San Antonio, New Braunfels, Luckenbach and points west, but missing the Museum of the Pacific War in Fredricksburg, home of Admiral Chester Nimitz.

More: From the videographer:
This is a video with fabulous music by the Dallas
based Vocal Majority (150+ voice men's chorus that has been winning Gold
Medals for 30 years). I took all the pictures and synced them with the video
where I could such as San Antonio , Houston , Dallas and Lukenbach. The
Bluebonnet pictures were taken north of Fredericksburg, Brenham (home of
Blue Bell ice cream), and Ennis. The flower pictures were taken at the
Dallas Arboretum. There are pictures from Ft. Worth (which apparently does
not have a song) taken at Billy Bob's (world's largest honky-tonk), the
Water Garden, some Western stores and the Stockyard. There are too many
cattle pictures, but I'll replace some of them in time with other places and
perhaps even some buffalo roaming. There is a picture of the Texas State
Capital in Austin and the Texas Tower at the University of Texas. All over
Texas there are beautiful County Courthouses. The two included are Hillsboro
and Denton County. Hope you enjoy the pictures. The picture quality is good
but had to be downgraded slightly for YouTube to accept.
