The Fram TG3985 is on clearance at RockAuto for around a buck and change. This is one of the filters tested by Marc Haibeck (though he referred to it as the TG3984, but I can't find any other reference to that PN). Not a bad price to stock up on a few!

If you order several, it spreads it out to a pretty reasonable number. Still cheaper than you can buy a filter at the parts store!

Yes, that's Marc's original filter comparison. When he updated it, he must have made a typo and changed it to 3984 instead.

They wanted $7.90 for 2 filters so not much of a deal for me. Good find for those that get a deal ;)

8 filters for $19.
Bargain.
Considering how often I drive girlfriend, this should enough to last 150 years.

I bought 10. With shipping, the total was around $25. That makes my per unit cost around $2.50, pretty decent deal in my mind :)

Even in daily driver status, that should last me a few years :)

I got on this last year when they had both oil and air on a fire sale.
I loaded up. 12 ea.
But you want to keep them sealed and away from chemical
fumes (gas etc) else the paper and glue will break down.
