Was this a 1 mile run or 1.5 mile run?
That is a big differance between 173 to 181.
8 MPH is a huge spread.
Was your son shifting/revving her to 7k?
Very nice i'd like to do the mile someday:thumbsup:

wonder how much the .5 really makes, if you are hitting the mile at 170 then the .5 disappears pretty fast.

With the bad air that day, your mile would be about 166-7 mph right? So, you were getting about a 10mph for the last 1/2 mile average. Is that what your thinking Phil.
Still busting out a 181.3 =D>
Did you see any stock Z06 runs for a comparison.

Stock ZO6,s in low 190's, I think, check the web in a week or so for results
Yes I was getting about 10mph in 6th for the 181 run, but it really is for hiway gas mileage
Yes the last .5 mile goes fast as you are going 170 already
Discount tires does have road force in AZ, not at all stores, you need to call
There is a big difference in the 173 to 181 runs, It was very windy that day
I had the first 2 173 runs, then my son ran 176 & 177, I thought no way I could top that but came back with a 181,(old guys rule) then he ran another 177, I told him top take it to 7k, and knowing him, it may of even been past that, he has run the mile with me before

You said that it was very windy? Just curious, which direction was wind blowing? Could make a difference in the speeds.
