I will be there at 9am. Can't wait to get my hands dirty! Any chance we will have time for a drive... maybe find the longest route to the ice cream shoppe? Can't wait to show you my Z now that it is finally 99% correct, professionally detailed, and running strong. i've doubled the 3,500 miles it accrued in 21 years in just 8 months - just hit 7,000 today.
The only ToDo's left are to change the trans to Castrol Synthetic and change the rear-end fluid.

Oil change
Tranny fluid change
Replace "K" member w/ boxed-in version
Tighten up rear roll bar mounts w/ star washers (I think this is what makes clanking noise)
Fabricate custom oil cooler lines
I'll be there for SURE!!!
Bert,
You can take my car for a test drive.

I'll be there. Mine idles right now, and has no more left O2 lean issue.
My only current issue is the coolant getting too hot when not moving with the a/c on. I'm sure I just need to clean out under the radiator shroud.

There are more than just man/woman these days. Best to use the term "weather-person".

Do you think with a Plenum Pull and a transmission pull, there will be time for me to change out my rear end fluid (21 years old) and transmission?

The WMD was a great success. 8 WAZOO members, 6 ZR-1's and a C-6. What a great day! We finished all the work and then sat around and talked ZR-1/LT5 until 9 PM.
Thank you to everyone who made it a fun day.
By working together we were able to:
Replace the flywheel, clutch, throwout bearing and pilot bearing on a Black 1991.
Install new injectors, coils, plug wires and PCV system on a Red 1990.
Install new plugs on another Black 1991.
Change transmission and differential fluid on a Steel Blue 1991.
Clean out debris in the radiator on another Black 1991.
Repair a bad head light motor, repair a broken Power Key module attachment, replace a failed secondary system check valve, and rewire the power supply for an audio system.
Special thanks to Darrin and Yun for all the their work and innovation.

A huge thank you to Jim, Darrin, and Yun for all your help and such a productive and enjoyable work day! The trans shifted so smoothly and ran so quiet with Castrol synthetic on the way home. I am amazed how much got accomplished today!
Let's Plan a rally to Harpers Ferry and enjoy our cars together. Wazoo Rocks!

Jim,
Thanks for your hospitality as always. Zr-1 ownership was never this fun until I ran into the gang-Wazoo!

It was a pleasure to spend the day with the WAZOO fellers!! Jim, you forgot about that narrow butt C-4 that was there...(I only point that out so that I wasn't the only one without the ZR-1 there). I like Berts idea about a Harpers Ferry cruise, how bout our PR guy putting this together....

I can't remember who, but someone yesterday was looking for cam wear guides: Haibeck now makes them - http://www.zr1specialist.com/HAT%20Web/products/upper%20chain%20guide.htm

Thanks for the help and an overall great day. Nice to see a host of new ZR-1s in the area and their owners. The car ran like new on the way home. The clutch is very smooth and quiet; my speedo and odometer are working again, and the car idles the way it's supposed to. It was good and hot when I got home and there is no more flywheel rattle.
Jim, you garage is incredible. Not once did we need a tool that wasn't available and your inventory of parts is even more impressive. Darrin, the only thing more impressive than how you worked your *** off were the results. You and The Captain made a great team. Yun, your finesse and patience on all the "darn near impossible to replace and hard to fix items" is another real talent.
As much as I like my ZR-1 I'm not sure I'd have it now if it were not for WAZOO. Thanks again.

After 10 months of ownership, we finally took our ZR1 on a road trip. We just returned from a 350 mile trip to Front Royal, VA to share an incredible 12 course dinner at the Inn at Little Washington. The food, service, and 4 hours enjoying the gastronaut menu was beyond incredible and worth the $400. Thanks to WAZOO crew for ensuring my Z run perfectly, all the while returning 22mpg.
The biggest surprise was how much better the shifting feel and ease is with the new Castrol/BMW fluid in the trans. Last September I changed the trans fluid with GM Synchromesh, and the trans was at times hard into third and first, and notchy in all gears. With the Castrol, shifting shifts smooth and clash free whether accelerating fast or slow.
