I got up there a few times then quit and then signed up again so I could come in as a newbie. It was fun.

they should put next to lt5 -A gold star each time you reach another milestone like 1000 post

Suggestion:
There should be a preference setting that allows you to
"opt out" of such. (L98, LT1, LT5 etc)
It becomes an end in itself to post things just to get a gold star. (or green star)
As it is the only way to not participate in this is to jump off the list and then rejoin.
Those that do not want to participate should see a "N/A" in this spot and
in the count.
