I understand from Heart of the Beast that each engine originally had it's own Engine Assembly Record. I searched the Forums and googled to see if I could find any reference to the availability of these but found none. Would someone please tell me what the scoop is on these?
Thanks!
John

There were engine build books for the development motors. Not sure about any from Mercury Marine, under production runs. I'm sure they kept SPC but have never seen those records published. As you can see from the pics below, this is the engine booklet from LT5 Motor #046.

John,
Welcome aboard, check the following thread, it should tell you what you ask.

Thanks for the reply and the pix, Blue Flame Restorations.
There's a picture in Heart of the Beast (page 69) and the caption says (in part) "An Engine Assembly Record accompanied each LT5 throughout the build process."
Perhaps someone who attended the Stillwater reunion last August before the plant closed knows if all engines had one and whether they're available.
John ("Hammer"), thanks also for the link to the petition about the dyno sheets. Perhaps those are all that remain.
