Was thinking today, I have a cracked targa top in my basement I got for free....would it be hard to make it a Gurney Bubble top, I always have to sit in my car with my head cocked when wearing my helmet.....
Hey Brett, thoughts?

Easy, Lee. Just have to use a 97 up top for the bump(s).

Anyone have a photo of the Gurney Bubble Targa Top? News to me. Could use a couple more inches head or butt room. Butt is too big but head only gets big for short periods before someone brings me down to earth. But a couple of inches head room would really be worthwhile.:dancing

Lee,
You should ask the guys from Melrose.

I agree, same issue. When wearing a helmet, I have to
sit all wierd to fit. ~6ft, 1". Locobob showed me a trick
to help a little: Lift up the seat bottom and unclip the
2 seat straps. You sit a little lower and gain some room.
I saw a Corvette at Spring Mountain with the bubble top.
Looked Kinda funny, but functional. I wonder if there are
any safety issues. Rolling the car with your head beyond
the halo can't be good.

A friend of mine with a 91 Z is fabricating a roof with bubbles. He is using an old glass top with the glass removed as a frame and forming the top out of fiberglass. He must be 6'3 or '4.
