I finally had a chance to meet most of the people that I have been talking too over the last year. I was having a wonderful time until tragedy struck, My alternator took a dump at 9 PM the night before my wife and I were scheduled to return home. To the rescue came Al, Pete, Bob G, Mark H, Dempsey and many other of our ZR-1 brotheren. Dempsey, Mark H and I Started to tear my car apart while Al took the alternator off of his car. Pete after working for several hours already repairing a busted spindle changed drag slicks off Bob G car to put street tires from Al car because there was a chance of rain on Sunday , Bob G while a rock on the outside, would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it more. let me tell you I dont think there is any other group in the world would have done something like this ever.
I am proud to be a member of this small society and if there is anything that I can do for any of you please just ask.

Robert,

I remember several such events and yes an alternator on Rich's 90' 368 many years ago... Like you said, its a great bunch of guys and they will always help a brother in need!

Another proud member of a great organization...

Feel the need to chime in here to point out that you don't even have to be on that side of the world to get help out of this brotherhood. I cannot begin to tell you how many of this group of outstanding folks have helped me with my Z car.

Now do I dare tell Brett that I have been trying to restore my '54 for over 23 years? Shipped it over here from Texas back in '91 and keep plodding along on it----but someday will be able to drive it.

Those guys put in a long day! Sorry to hear your car was "Banged Out" momentarily. I hope you and Amy had a safe ride home.

Great to hear, not that I expected any less! Wish I could have been there this year, maybe I can swing it next time around.
