View Full Version : Carroll Shelby passed away today
Actually yesterday, May 10th
Carroll Shelby, the legendary auto racer and car designer who built the fabled Shelby Cobra sports car and injected testosterone into Ford's Mustang and Chrysler's Viper, has died. He was 89.
Shelby's company, Carroll Shelby International, said Friday that Shelby died a day earlier at a Dallas hospital.
He probably lapped the field on his way to Heaven.

What a shame, but he lived a GREAT life and really stepped up the pace & hobby, I was lucky enough to go to 1 of his birthday parties at Barrett/Jackson, will never forget him! ICON

This is why there has been sooooo much interest and $$$ in the Cobras. Just as a Picasso or Monet skyrockets after the death of the artist, watch what happens to the Cobras.

Sniffle sniffle. He was the real deal. He wanted to win races and refused to compromise to do it.
