Ebay. Most seem to let the auction play out. There was one with a Buy It Now and free shipping for $129. More than what I wanted to pay but the other auctions seem to run near $100 when they end, plus shipping before it's all said and done. I needed a spare and got tired of waiting for a deal.
There are a couple on Ebay right now.

Thanks Brett, I have C6 brakes on mine now, and your thread got me thinking I better have one of these.

As you know from the other place I have done it.
I purchased a couple of these wheels now. One cost me more than $160 shipped and the other I found locally for $80 on CL. I sold the one that was less pretty (the expensive one from ebay) to a friend who also went C5 conversion on his 96 coupe.
You do have to flip the spare over, it won't fit in the tray like the original one. The tire bag faces down, but the wheel still fits almost all the way up and doesn't show from the back.

You can buy the wheel from GM for cheap- like maybe $70, but a new tire is about $200. For some reason there are a fair number of these donuts on the market used.
Another possibility is to start looking for a late model CTS spare. They are 18" and apparently even fit over C6 Z51 brakes without a spacer. If you find one, let me know.

My car is spare delete. I'm going to make a bracket that attaches to my roll bar/harness bar and stow the spare in the rear compartment. I bought the center hold-down with the stud. I'll weld a nut to the bracket that will be underneath the spare. The hold-down will thread into it. This will keep the spare from moving anywhere during hard breaking or worse.

don't forget to mill, grind, or file about .050 off of the hub hole. They don't fit the vette as is. It only takes 15 minutes- 1/2 of that time finding and setting up the die grinder.
I pulled on of the fronts off to make real sure it fit perfectly. You don't want to mess with that on the side of the road.

THANKS! I didn't realize that.
If you need a skinny tire for the GTO spare rim
Hoosier has a tire #19055 and it's H rated for up to 130MPH

Ron, I had new C5 Z06 calipers installed on the front. They look really good with the Dymags.
I was really unsure about the Turquoise when I got it. The car was just too good of a deal to pass up. The mods sold me on the car...and it's a really solid 55k mile car.
NOW......I really like the color and enjoy having something different.

I know what you mean... You could write about the same exact thing on my Hawaii car:
"I was really unsure about the Snake Skinner Body Kit when I got it. The car was just too good of a deal to pass up. The mods sold me on the car...and it's a really solid 40k mile car.

Will this GTO spare also clear C6 ZO6 calipers?
Need a spacer?
And what specific GTO spare? ie year?
TIA

There was a guy on CF that ran them as skinnies for the drag strip over Z06 calipers. He had this outrageous 3" spacer.
so basically...no.

I wonder if there is any kind of spare you can use
other than another 18" Fiske ($$, and also woundn't
fit in the spare tire tray)?

I kind of think maybe an 18" CTS spare with a more modest spacer might fit. I want one for my '08 coupe with the z51- those rotors are about 1/4 bigger than C5 rotors and the GTO spare won't do it without a spacer.
I want a spacerless spare for trips across the desert. I'm afraid to take my C6 out of town.
