This is intended to get a distribution curve for the length of ownership.
There is a field for "Former/future owner".

This poll may have to be moved to the "General Posts" thread.

9 years ... I bought it on Feb. 20, 2003 from Dennis Scott, who still drives his first ZR-1, a red 90, that was the first 368 Aaron Scott built (I think). My black Z belonged to Dennis' wife and a lot of people in SC and GA still say to me "Oh, you're driving April's car".

Just 1 year here, picked it up at the start of The Gathering last May. Been in a C4 since April 1998ish. I just couldn't find the "right" Z before now. Hopefully I will be able to enjoy the cars for years; I have no plans of selling [-X

18 years. I think I'll keep it.

Not much of a sample yet. But I'm surprised that there aren't as many "old timers", like me, than I thought there would be.

11 years total and 3rd time around with my current 91. My 91 has been runing strong for 9 years with no end in sight . However... I got my eye on another one now. I can't think of another car that delivers more fun for the money.

Bought my First one back in 2001. I have a photo it with my Brand new 2002 Z06 somewhere. Ended up trading that ZR-1 for a 1968 BB Vette in 2008 but I have owned at least one ZR-1 since 2001. Most I had at one time was three haha

Average length is now 8yrs for respondents

That seems higher than the average car ownership experience. My all time longest was 8 years for a Jeep and 6 years for my 69 RS Camaro.

I had a z28 for 5 years and my LS3 vette is closing in at 4 years. I'm a whore with cars really, I've traded some away before the first set of tires was done.

scottfab

Average is now back to 6yrs.
For me that's way less than my average.
I had a 73 LT4 for 18yrs and this ZR-1 for 15 now.
There was a Plymouth van for 10yrs and a Chevy van for 8yrs,
a Ford Mustang was only 4yrs and a Ford Explorer for 14yrs.
Then there was a Lincoln for 10yrs.
In all that time the only shop I've taken any vehicle to was the
tire and alignment shop. It's fun learning a car inside and out.
