The unofficial count is 28 Zs! That is a pretty good turnout for a half-day BBQ event, I must say!! Thank you Marc for hosting. Marc had a big 20x20 tent to shelt the food and block the wind, and various volunteers brought deserts, and condements and charcoal, and drinks...What a hoot!
This photo was taken over an hour before the scheduled time for the BBQ to start...Gives an idea how popular this event turned out!

This was a chance for many to see the traveling trophy "the big boys" of the FBI won at the Crown Point Corvette Challenge (shootout) last fall. (I hope it becomes a "permanent" fixture!)

And quick video clip (It was windy, so I suggest you turn your sound off to avoid wind noise).

Hopefully, some others will post some more pix too!

OK I am officially jealous of EVERYONE who made the BBQ. However my DVD from Marc arrived and I have converted it so I can see it on my computer. Played hooky from most of my work and duties today, locked myself in my office and watched the DVD. Not sure how many times but it was worth watching multiple times.
Thanks for the photos folks. Sort of give all of us that could not attend a feeling of inclusion.
Looks like it was a great do.=D>

Yep it was sent to Callaway by a previous owner and it had new panels installed and was painted purple "don't know the exact color name" the interior was all redone and the motor breath on. It really is a great car, Roger said he should be at Bloomington gold this year.

Another member had a a Callaway areobodied ZR-1 that was steel blue and I think it was Clint Hoopers old car. I think the color was called Purple Mist. Not sure if Callaway painted Clints old car or not? Maybe..

Gentlemen,
Enjoyed the few hours spent with all of you. 28 Z's, quite impressive. Thank you Marc, very nice of you to host this gathering. All we need is just a few degrees warmer, but a day of sunshine brings out all the nice cars. I hope everyone made it home safely! I've been looking for new wheels, a lot of nice ones on the cars that showed up. I really liked those found on David Johnson's car (Ricky Jehn's wheels), and bought them. Should look nice on my Yellow '95. Thanks David and Ricky!

Those wheels would look great on a black car, If you dont like them let me know we can work something out.

Yeah, She is getting some work done at Mark's I was hoping to have everything complete for Mark's show it just did not work out well. Probably for the better as I did not have the garage fully cleaned and needed the added space for the Ruby.

Wow! I hate to say this but Marks BBQ makes Corey Hendersons look weak. The last 5 years they have gotten smaller and smaller. Maybe interest in this part of the country has just declined over the years. Theres definitely not a lack of ZR-1's here in Texas. Just weak attendance. When it starts to get down to only two or three cars showing up once a year then there wont be much of a reason for me to go anymore. I'll start going up to Mark's BBQ's.
