Finally bought a car I can enjoy and not have to build. I bought the car from Rick Mueller, Austin, TX. Rick had spun a bearing and decided to go in another direction after enjoying the car for over ten years.

Fast forward, I sent the car to Pete, in Chicago. for engine rehab. After about a month, I picked up my car and couldn't be happier with the work I had done.

I need to thank Carter also for the LT5 coolant pipes, wheel spacers and center caps (for my Dymags).

The history of the car shows that it was once owned by Paul Denhert. It has 55k miles and a great list of mods done by Paul and some by Rick. Thanks to Pete, it is now in the 500hp club. This thing is scarey fast!
Permagrin for sure. Even the wife has a permagrin now. LOL

I washed and waxed it for the first time this morning. It still needs a lot of detailing but it's very tight and clean. The color is definitely growing on me. Just need to get my Dymags mounted next week.

Looks great Brett and I'll bet 500 hp feels even better. Congrats.

Yes, that's a diffuser that Rick made. I kind of like it and have no plans of removing it. I may make a copy similar just to play with the idea.

That is a great color. I'd like to see a shot with a door open to see how the saddle interior looks contrasted with the turquoise.

Just a reminder...try to tweak the B&B mufflers so they don't melt your rear plastic bumper cover...I don't know if you have the cats or "test pipes" on, but put it on the lift and play with the exhaust tips so the heat doesn't damage that piece.

I'm so happy it went to the right guy!!! like someone else said,
Nice Save!

On another note, I went 11.80 in another toy of mine last night... I know it's not great but the best pass of my life and I can get a second more, I think pretty easily with a little work...I think...Life is Real at the strip though and I know a second is a lot...at any rate, major props to you Brett! Stay in Touch!

Rick, I couldn't be happier with the purchase and the wonderful work that Pete did for me.

You really took care of this super tight, clean turq beast. The car is so tight and there's hardly a mod left to do to it. I'm taking your advice on the exhaust tips. I'm actually taking it to the muffler shop and having it "tacked" in place.

The 13" Dymags should be on the car within a week or so. 11" on the front.

Congrats on your personal best at the track.

I'll keep you posted with updates.

Brett!

That's a good idea. As soon as I get another sunny day here, I should take some pics.
