My answer: That all ZR-1 owners have bank balances deeper than the Grand Canyon (or the Marianas Trench if you like your answers wet!)

You can't find anyone to work on them...

Hear it all the time.

My Favorite. Why did you put ZR1 emblems on a C4.

Answer: Where is your camaro. (chick car)

this one is partly true....the majority of us are looking at a massively expensive tow if something goes pop

Oh, yes you can - WAZOO! Parts? Yes you can - WAZOO!
Realistically I can see that this can be a frustrating car to own if your not mechanically inclined.

If you want a car with plenty of parts and anyone can service, I suggest a Toyota, Honda or a Hyundai.

i don't mind this one. least it shows they know a little about the car and you can inform from there.

"I bet you baby this thing because of all those chains" or "Is that a real ZR-1?". You can see them just standing there looking at the oil filter and trying to figure that out.

After looking my car over at a cruise nite, a well informed "expert" told me my Z had a Ford Mustang engine in it...

I took my car in for a smog check a couple of years ago. The technician stood over the motor and studied it. He moved around from one side to the other and reached down to touch it. I asked him if he had any questions. He said no. Then he accused me of swapping motors with some unknown exotic type! I just laughed!! Aren't these cars fun!!

Then I gave him a lesson in the KOH!!

After I answer the "What is it?" question. I usually get the one about parts and service.

I find that most people that ask the parts & service question have a bit of a hard time believing that our brotherhood does a very good job at solving those issues. I think Yun is correct. If you own one of these cars you have to be willing to get dirty.

It is the 80's Body style. It was produced for 7 years during the 90's last I checked. And except for the prototypes they are all 1990 or newer.

SLOW

On the street most assume a standard C4 until you WAX them.

Best sleeper Vette ever is the ZR-1 and why I love it the most.

Tis always fun to leave the Rustank punk owners in a quandary.

Bought some C6 parts from a guy across town and he said to never ever sell the 91 when I told him I had one...easy said than done. Some days I feel like a caretaker and others it feels like a normal car that I could care less about mileage-wise.

People still respect and like the idea of the KOTH even if most recent technology has surpassed it.
