I'm using 8E.xdf to try to read my HAT chip but the info seems to be wrong. Ie fuel cutoff rpm is all zero's and so on. My burn 2 reads it, saves it, and verifies it but there's no way this is correct. I've read the third gen stickies (thank you Dom) but I'm still lost. Any thoughts?
TIA,
Mike

sounds like you might be using the wrong definition or mask file. You probably have read it, but it needs to point to the right memory location or it shows random garbage if you are using the wrong one.

That's what I'm thinking too. I did get it fron tunerpro's site and it said 90 zr1 lt5. I'm not sure where else to look.

8E is correct. Is the MEMCAL still stock or has the EEPROM been replaced?

You may need the $8EA mask. Every year LT-5 has 2 version of the calibration which is the original and then the "A" version. The changes GM made start at the
0x700 address. Any parameters before that line up, then everything changes by 3 lines of code.

Also, one other thing w TPRT. Get the latest version. If you have a bin file created using the most recent version, previous versions will not read it showing all 0.

Bingo. Thanks Dom. I was just reading an old cf thread where you and discussed this. My HAT chip is based on aybk therefore I need 8ea. Unfortunately tunerpro isn't listing it so I'm going to try to hunt it down. I will also double check to make sure that my copy is up to date. Thanks again.

Thanks guys. Dom I found it on gearheads site and installed it but things still aren't correct. I'm going to play with it a little more this evening. Fuel cutoff is showing 3425.

You can send me the .bin at surrexi2@comcast.net. I'll take a look.
