Okay, I have been watching the Forum and there are several TT C6 Z06 with LSX engines that have not sold for 60,000.00 So someone please tell me how this car sells for 65K.

Just an honest question. The numbers they are bringing for any car seems to be roughly 30% higher than Barrett Jackson, Now I know absolutely nothing about how the Auction houses work. Anyone that tells me I have to give them a 25% deposit on my Auction limit that they will hold for 30 days if I dont buy anything is nuts.

I have never been to an auction. The only thing I would say is that buying that car, already set up by LPE, is cheaper than buying a new ZO6 and having LPE make you one just like it? That would be my answer. :icon_scra
I want to know what they did with the ignition system, where did they put the coils?:o

Tom, That is not a car that was worked on by LPE, All the new Z06 if you do the package has a root style supercharger that replaces the intake.

Now I'm sure that I should not go to these auctions! I read the first line under description where is said LPE supercharger, and didn't even think that it was just describing the supercharger, as in where they bought the parts! :o

I was at Mecums Auction this year in Kissimmee. I watched the auction for several hours, looked at a lot of the cars pre-auction, and followed up the next day to see what some of my favorite cars sold for. My general sense was, Mecums was no a place to find a bargain. Yes there were some good deals here and there, but I think one would do better on his own, without the auction company. Keep in mind, the sold prices did not include Mecum's fees.

I go to the auctions every year. Mecum Indy, Kissimmee, Auburn, etc. The auction houses always inflate their catalogs as a marketing tool. Bargains are normally found after the auction. There are often times that two fools meet. It's just fun to look at the cars and watch the scenery. ;)
