Behind the coolant tube covers are two exposed runners which are bathed in coolant...and I would think a much different temp than other runners....was pondering coating these in insulation...namely our friend JB weld is apparently a decent insulator.....this area is a hot spot and was just wondering what others thought?

My thoughts (with the caveat that I am no engineer), I think the fact that the air is spending such a short period of time in that section of the runner, that it's unlikely to make enough of a difference to make it worth the effort to do any kind of insulation.

They have done some similiar testing with 5.0 intakes showing a difference...

Well then it sounds like it's time for you to try it and let us know if it works on the LT5 as well :)

So this is primary #3/4 and secondary 1/2 right?
