Got an inquiry on buying my LT-5 project

siamesed plenum
siamese ported heads
custom grind cams
all new gaskets and rings

Looking on thoughts of value given it as a good working engine

This is the motor to my 1990 #702. It'd be nice if the two could get back together. The car is for sale at a reasonable price.

I was not looking to sell but a prospective buyer came asking, I might consider letting it go for a reasonable price, but certainly when you think about the cost of the parts alone

-siamese plenum...easy $2000-$4000
-ported heads....$1800
-fresh Valve job
-4 performance cams...$1700
-ATI balancer

I was thinking in the $5500-$6500 range....I would definately want to install it and make sure it ran first and no issues....so sale would be based upon a motor verified with no issues....

that's about half to a third of what a 90 is selling for now...the market for all things ZR-1 is shot

Not worth selling if thats the case, having this motor done on an engine supplied would be $10-15K.....while I am no Marc H....can't give the motor away..thanks for the feedback and thoughts

It's worth more , but even in todays crappy market 6500 would be a good buy.GLWS

with kurts exchange program.... It will be tough.

If this is with no exchange ( outright ) I think $6500. is a good buy. As you know it aint cheap to build one of these...

The porting has to be worth something. Stock cams, right?

that's why it's 5500 and not 3000

No the cams are performance intake and exhaust

That kinda throws the exchange argument out the window for me. Cams and porting are not cheap. Apples and oranges.

This is $10-15K worth of motor if you had it done and thats with you using your own engine.

This is an outright purchase

**Guess $7K in mods is more accurate being there is install you still need to perform...

That thing was $4500+ alone

You need to make a full list for us;)

Sounds like a 525-540 hp 350 is that about right?
Then about 10k would be a good deal for someone.

I am waiting for work in Vegas to come up so I can see this car is person. I was going to buy this car last year when it was first available but didn't know how to get it from Hawaii to Michigan. I am sure I am going to regret that decision.

Was this the Siamese setup that was available a couple of months ago?

No.
It was started as a Bill K special, then was fixed and finished by GVD.
