Ive got an old one in my Nova, depending what model you have I have the programing instructions. Now,programing the remote is a whole different story,I cant do it but the guy at the stereo store has done it once in the past.

I talked to Directed Electronics yesterday and was told the system I have is a very good system but an older system. the original owner put in a security code and inorder to get the remotes to work I need to orginal code or I have to send in the brain box and have it worked.. Shheezzzzz nut'ins simple :) Thanks for the replies ...

The code they re talking about is the Valet code, the system has a small rocker switch mounted somewhere.A competent stereo shop can reprogram the system and the remotes with a new Valet code.

Dude said( and He/ I could be wrong ) that this system has 2 switches ( and it does) and that type of system cant be reprogrammed without the orginal code.... BUT I hope you are correct Jeff..
I was trying to have the extra remote programmed ( Like right now ) I have to store the vette for a while and just wanted it taken care of before doing so... At this point I'm out of time and it will have to wait... But I do appreciate all thr replies...

Try giving this place a call. Its in Hayward Ca,ask for Ernie and explain what you need.Ive got a Concept 20 in one of my cars,at least 15 years old. With this system the old codes, remotes are erased and new codes are stored.www.soundinnovations.com
