OK, whats up with the "more expensive than gold (or gasoline)"
sealant for ZR1 cam covers? Why can't you just use non-hardening
form-a-gasket stuff? Or since the the pair are so highly machined to match
exactly, why is anything necessary? Or why not just use a gasket?
Too much time on my hands..........

It's not that expensive, it's 30 bucks or less. And one tube will get both cam covers done.

You are right, about $50 plus S&H from White Racing Products, I just wondered
why this stuff. You answered the question that it has to be thinner.
Thanks,

Getting prepared for this winters project?
California has no winter. Just slight fluctuations centered about 75 degrees (F). My project will actually be this summer as per your and Roberts schedule. I just want to be prepared.
Still deciding colors.........

I've got a interesting red you might be interested in. I'll get some shots in the sunlight.
i thought it was supposed to be later summer or early fall. As i know he has one set he is finishing, and then another in the queue.

Loco sent me pics of a few different color schemes. One was a red with red engine. Very cool! I'll email you pvt........

Same jobs as I was told, but you may be more realistic as to the time. The sooner the better!

I'm just finishing a yellow engine and it looks killer. It has taken over as my newest favorite engine color if it goes with the car.

Yeah, I agree. But will it go with a black car?

Black goes with any color. Just don't paint your engine black. It gets lost in there if you do. Also, some hot tips for you when painting (or powder coating) is to get bits done that you see such as the water pipe in front, the hard lines running down the side, the mount for the alternator. Look at what you can see on the motor in the car before tearing it down so you can note what to do and what color to paint it. I do the hard lines different colors than the motor with the front water pipe the same color. Just think about what you want.
