I'll try to swing by. Only a half hour ride for me. It's looking like I'm going to need a set of tires this season too. Zekes has treated me well and probably not far from you.

Kevin,
I guess the PM I sent didn't go thru? Operator error...
Give me a call @ 860-287-9923 if you get a chance. It's a lot easier than typing. I did the top flite thing a couple years ago.

Kevin,
I have had a few judged also. Biggest hit can be in the operations area. Make sure everything works as it should. Make sure you have a Delco battery in the car, OEM wiper blades and all your paperwork. Remember the battery cutoff switch, fire estinguisher and NCRS sticker for the 10 bonus points.
If you want to talk, send me a PM.

Thanks John.....Got the AC delco, still need to put on the battery switch, got original w.blades, oil and air filters, got the fire ex and NCRS sticker, all paperwork and video......the only deducts I know will be replaced windshield and seat bolsters not working.....switches seem good, replaced motor but still no go.....I'm thinking solonoid or controller but can't seem to locate either for 95's..........
I'm hoping my bonus points, plus driving to the show points, will offset some deductions.....Kevin

Kevin,
At the Chapter level they should be kind on the windshield. Since you have some time why don't you send an e-mail to Tom Barr the team leader for your car. There is an e-mail link on the National wesite under contacts for him. He should provide you some guidance on point deduction and it would be good to have the information should the judges you get, not be familiar with the windshield issues.
When you say bolsters are you talking about the lumbar bladder? If this is the case it may be the diaphram in the pump under the seat. There is some information on this on the technical board.
Good luck. Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss further.

Got an email 2 weeks ago verifying my registration for the New England Top Flight event...everything seemed all set......today I got a call from NCRS headquarters......now they tell me the TF class is limited to 10 cars and my reg. was #11 to be recieved......so long story short, I'm "in" if someone cancels or is a no show......may not even be notified until the morning of the show........
As I explained to the gentleman on the phone, its a good thing I only live 10 minutes from the event site and not up in Maine somewhere!!........Kevin

Kevin,
What's the latest? You in or out?
Doug
OBTW
Squirt a little WD-40 on the latches of the cubby holes behind the seats, "they" like to see them latch when "dropped" from about 6" or so. They also get a little "giddy" over the spare tire and jack bag contents & condition. Read over your owner's manual on how to operate eveything, stereo, AC/heater etc so you'll be familiar when it's checked. Good luck with your rear hatch going all the way up when you "pop" it... I've had 3 C4s, 2 from new and none of them ever went all the up! A little WD40 wiped on the piston shafts helps a little. Also know where the manual release for the rear hatch is (stuffed up under the surround) and that it works.

Doug,
Still in "limbo"....first in line if one of the 10 Top Flight entrants cancels or is a "no show"
Dropped the spare, good thing as it was flat...filled and cleaned......cleaned up the tire bag and tire surround too, lots of Texas dust in there.
Thanks for the wd40 tips.....I need to look for the emergency hatch release again....couldn't find it when I originally got the car, but didn't look to hard then....Kevin

Kevin,
If New England doesn't work out I know the Western NY Chapter has a meet the weekend of June 1st. I understand they already have a C-4 class, so maybe????? Visit their website and/or drop them a line.
Wish I could help you but our meet is full and we only have C-1, C-2 and C-3 classes.
Good luck,
John
