Anyone install them yet? Did they fit with no modification?

Hey Aurora!
Yep, I installed my red Samco coolant and air intake hoses.
I decided for now not to install the little guy between the
thermostat housing and the radiator and the longer hose from the
thermostat housing back to the engine. They are lower down,
more hidden, so I'll tackle them another time.
Except for some busted knuckles, the hoses were tight, but fit.
The air intake hose to TB took some effort, and the clamp barely
clears the pulley under the front of the TB, but it fits.
Any probs in particular?

Cool, thanks for the feedback! I haven't tried the coolant hoses yet. My air duct didnt' come close to fitting, way too long. I've trimmed it little by little to get it to fit better, and now it doesn't fit at all.

I have zero interest in doing that with the coolant hoses, so I figured if they aren't a simple swap for the old ones, I may as well get started selling them now.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear that you had trouble with your air duct. I am not sure why you say it will not fit at all now but I know a handful of people who have them on, including myself. Did you wind up buying the claw like you had talked about, and it wont fit to it? Or are you having trouble fitting it to the stock air intake?

I don't have the coolant hoses, but others who do have installed them without a problem. Good luck, and when you get them on, take a few pictures for us to see your dressed up engine bay.

Hey, it's no problem. I hope you don't think I'm mad about the GB or anything. I'm just not happy with the product.

It won't work for me anymore because I was having problems with the airbox sticking up (it worked ok this way but I couldn't screw it down), or with it hitting the a/c compressor. So I clipped a little more out, and now the top is too short and the bottom is fine. Apparently it needed to be cut at an angle with the bottom being shorter than the top.

I got a claw. It fits over the claw, but the clamps won't fit. And the claw has a weld at the bottom that isn't smooth, and creates quite a gap with the duct that would allow junk into the engine. It just has me a little fed up is all, as it's basically $350 down the toilet between the duct and the claw.

Mine are black, but they come in blue, red, I think maybe green and yellow?

I got the claw working with the stock duct so I'm less disheartened now. :)

Not at all, I just hoped you would get things squared away and not be disappointed with any aspect of your ZR-1.

For our information, I went out and measured my Samco air duct-
8 1/4 inches long as sent. Again, it was tight, but fit. Great excuse
to admire the beautiful engine! And dream of a big cube build inside!
Maybe some day.............
Reminds me of my encounter with a Borla rep at a car show.
I just couldn't keep my mouth shut. I went up to the guy at their booth
and told him that I love the sound, but the fit (and I heard the same from others) was crap. He told me "Corvettes shift on shipping" and every car is different. So it is our cars that vary, not the exhaust.
Things that make you go hummmmmmm

I feel your pain. I just installed mine tonight, what I thought would be a half hour job that I would get done while waiting for my oil to dran. Turned in to a two and a half hour pain in the a$$. Had to trim it three times then my AC was hitting the clamp, then I finally got it adjusted so that the AC just barely was touching the duct. I left it at that, the AC will just wear that little bit of duct away. Glade the coolant hoses seem to fit better, I will tackle that next month when I flush the coolant. My intake is not stock either I have an API ram air set-up.

FYI, I installed my coolant hoses this last weekend. The job was a total pain, but the hoses fit just fine, no trimming required. However the ones that connect to the "T" thing and the upper radiator hose are a REALY REALLY tight fit over the tubes. They are a real pain to get on, but nothing too major. On the bottom of the car they fit nice and easily.

I don't know why that one clamp on the upper hose isn't black, but I painted it real quick.
