OK we are going to go off the wall here and try a unusual date to start everyone early at getting over their cabin fever. We will be having the WWW.RKT56.COM (http://www.rkt56.com/) dyno day on MARCH 31st 2012 Saturday.
Dyno jet and we will be working on some grilling action and sodas for the attendee's. We were snowed out in OCTOBER of last year. How the HECK did that happen I have no idea. So we want to get this year off to a great start.

Looks like I won't be able to make it. Went out to drive the vette to work this morning and found this.

I felt all the hoses, none were wet, and the leak seemed to be dripping from the center between the front wheels, nothing under the radiator. So I'm guessing water pump, so no quick fix. But, I'll confirm when I pick up an inspection mirror this evening.

I won't be able to be there for the Dyno runs, so I am sending my son, Roger, with the 1993 Quazar Blue. I finally got all the issues sorted out and need after porting numbers.

I will get to the cookout at Darrin's later in the afternoon.

I hope a lot of ZR-1's will make it to the Dyno site.

Well, I'm stumped. It had leaked a half gallon of coolant over 24 hours, with a cold motor sitting parked. Filled it back up and drove to a garage where I can get under it and get a better look at it, and it hasn't leaked a drop. I'm going to remove the tensioner to get a better look at the water pump area, but I have to wait for the motor to cool. I'm guessing it likely isn't a water pump now, as I would think it would leak worse with pressure/heat and that isn't the case.

I'll probably be there tomorrow, hopefully in the ZR-1, but if not in my Rubicon. We can always dyno that if everyone wants a good laugh.

I'm getting used to this, the enging bay is quite a bit more crowded than my L98. Hard to see anything from under or above.

Thanks Darrin for hosting a great Wazoo BBQ today on your beautiful farm. We had an absolutely fantastic time. I will upload some pictures from the Dyno pulls, maybe even a video... and some more great shots of our ZR1 bretheren down on the farm. I was a little dissapointed when my bone stock (just a chip and K&N) ZR1 pulled only 321 rwhp/325 tq, but then I remembered that the stock c6 that went before me pulled 339 rwhp... Everyone said the Dynojet was running about 20hp low vs. other dyno pulls people there had run. Still accounting for 15% drivetrain friction loss, that works out to engine horsepower of 378.
