Apparently SPEED cancelled the show....I thought it had a chance if the budget was deeper...

obviously a generational gap...I thought he was hilarious....you guys know he actually wrenches on his own cars, etc???? I am surprised you think he is an A hole...he kind of rails on himself as much as others...

I think maybe you are right Lee -- He comes off as a smart azz -- maybe Gen X'ers thinks this is Kool but to us BB's perhaps it is that smirk and attitude that spoils it for us.

I did like his collection of personal cars and he was rather humble when wanting to trade to that one guy so I thought in that one show.

I used to think the RED EYE guy --Greg was a smart azz as well but over time I have come to like his show better and I think he does a good job on the 5 show on Fox.

Maybe over time Carolla would have become more acceptable but I really think it is the Man Show persona that made for preconceived opinions by us older than him guys is the reason for "he is an AH - smart azz" notions.

Cocky and Smart Azz = AH to us old farts -- LOL

Me too Lee, I also think Adam is hilarious. When I was a road mechanic fixing
heavy equipment (mostly cranes) , I would be working late and I would listen
to Adam on late night talk radio. He is funny on just about any subject that
comes to him. You just have to listen for awhile and then your hooked.

I was more surprised to learn he was a car guy like us. As for SPEED they
seem to think stupid quiz and game shows on nascar are better than a show
actually about car stuff. If it wasn't for Racing and Pass Time I probably
would not be watching. Their shows are starting to be lame. JMO...jimmy
