It's been a lot of work but I can say I known a Z inside and out. I've always loved the Z every since when I was in high school when they came out. I've owed many corvettes but I love the uniqueness of the Z. I like the fact that only true corvette enthusiast appreciate what they are. It started with me buying a wrecked 91 off craigslist. I own a body shop so I am always looking for corvette projects. The damage was not that bad so I started researching parts sources and began ordering. I hit a few bumps in the road when fixing like finding out that the clutch was fried and the throw out bearing had exploded. The guy I bought it from forgot to mention that I guess. It explains why the car was parked when wrecked. I don't think it had been driven in some time. Then I made the mistake of washing under the hood. A quick search here told me that was a bad idea. New starter needed to be ordered.
I found water wasn't draining from the valley because a mouse made a nest in there and he had since expired under the plenum. I have done a lot of work on this car and enjoy driving it a lot. The motor is smoother than any other corvette that I have ever owned. But it has come time to put her up for sale. The opportunity has come up to buy a 66 corvette roadster big block project that I can't pass up. I thought that I would post some pics of the work I did on the Z. This forum has been the biggest help in fixing all the little quirks with the Z.
