Ok, it is time to purchase injectors for my 91. I was going to buy the Accels but have been looking at the Standard stainless injectors or the Lucas injectors that FIC has listed on their site. Are there any opinions out there as to what may be the better way to go. Thanks.

Accels or the Lucas are not a bad way to go. A number of members here locally have gone with the stainless ones from FIC and they have performed flawlessly. I am currently refinishing my top end and those are the ones I am using, but the Accels or Lucas may be cheaper.

The stainless injectors or the Lucas injectors are the same price at FIC. I did find the Accels a little cheaper. Accels about $550.00, Choice at FIC, Standard or Lucas $670.00. Im kinda liking the sound of the Standard stainless ones at FIC but was wondering if others had used them and what they thought.

If you want new, the Accels you want are #150821s and Summit usually has them in stock. 16 are going to run around $600. When these injectors are re-purposed to be used in the LT5, the secondary injectors require the little plastic keying rib to be removed to allow the connector to attach. No big deal at all. It only takes about 5 minutes with a Dremel for all 8, or if you have a shop grinder - about 5-10 seconds each and you ready to go.

Save some money, FIC rebuilt injectors work great...you will get what you need and without the modification required of Accel's. I have run them for well over 2 years now with no problems. Unmatched customer service too.

I have the FIC stainless steel injectors. No problems with them at all. Shipped fast and customer service was great. At the time they were several dollars apart compared to the Accel's and I would not have to modify the connector. I called before buying as I had questions about the rebuilt injectors and the the Stainless Steel injectors. Based on the information provided I purchased the stainless steel. Just a personal choice your mileage may very.
