Can anyone tell me if ZR1's sold in Canada had the same VIN decal (on dr door) as those in the US? Or would the part that says "U.S. FEDERAL" read "CANADA"?. Also, do Canadian cars have the round, blue, transport canada decal (maple leaf) as well? Best answer gets a free round!

Yes the decal does have Canada on it & the blue round decal on the door also. Hope this helps, have pic of mine if you want - sold in Sask.

A picture would be fantanstic! Thank you! My car was sold new in Toronto but the decal manufacturer ESC sent me a US replacement decal (with the correct vin and build date). That despite sending them a photoshopped US decal with CANADA replacing U.S. Federal. You see they will NOT produce a decal without a pic of the original and since I dont have my original, I had to create one for them reproduce. So my questions were: did they just make a mistake? (probably). Does their searching of GM records indicate my car was actually US car sold in Canada? (doubtful). Or did Canadian ZR-1s have US decals (obviously not).

1544. Sold by North York Chev Olds to James M. I'm not doing anything unethical you see, just trying to replace some missing decals from an earlier door repair.

I certainly "don't" know but I always thought that the Canadian Certification label was something that was "added" to a car that was purchased in the US and had been certified through customs by furnishing proper documentation including "recall" compliance etc after the proper taxes and fees had been paid. I would have "guessed" that a new production vehicle destined for resale in Canada and had the proper RPO's documented from the build wouldn't require one. Like I mentioned "don't know" but I would have thought!
Down here in the "lower" Province of West Virginia about the only thing Canadian that I'm very familiar with is Bell ExpressVu (Bell). I had their satellite service for nearly 10 years here until cable "cable came to me"!
