No football today so spent some time in the shop.
Dicided I had enough with resetting chain tensioners the old fashion way using a small screwdriver, metal scribe, patients and a little luck.
Made up these two little tools which make the job literally a snap.
After fully compressing the tensioner on the drill press with a 1/4" rod chucked up the outer sleeve of the tool is pushed down on the inner plunger which sets the locking ring in the outer cylinder.

Yeah, but I need that tool set more than both of you put together, so line forms to the rear. ;-)

I made these up out of some scrap material I had laying around.
Next time I'm at the store I will pick up the right size round stock and turn out a few.

I would love to buy a set. Darn, I should have taken more shop classes and not Computer classes.
