I aggree, would have set them worlds apart and gave them an exotic look. Can someone with better skills than I look up the original coach builder? his name is Steve Winter. Thanks

This is GS90 car #3. A total of 9 were built by Dick Guldstrand. The custom coach was designed by Steve Winter. Previous owner documents state the car has a reconfigured ZR1 engine with 1995 cams, a 4.09 differential, Brembo brakes and a 6-speed transmission. Mechanical upgrades in 1997 totaled $24,000. The G-1 conversion was documented to be $134,500 plus the cost of a factory ZR1. Restoration of this car began with Guldstrand Engineering Inc. and continued with the frame-off restoration at Antique Auto Restoration with Randy Reed. Randy had numerous conversations along the multi-year restoration with Dick to be sure all questions were addressed and to make sure that Mr. Guldstrand would be pleased with the finished product, which included a change in paint scheme to a more elegant and subtle black with black cherry ghost stripe. The car looks totally different in the sun than in the shade. The engine is documented as a 1990 LT-5 with a displacement of 5,733cc and 480hp at 7,500rpm. The odometer reads 25,433 actual miles. The interior is standard ZR1 leather with black wool carpet, driver's race harness and fire extinguisher behind the passenger seat. The grille and functioning brake vents were finished with stainless steel mesh. Custom LED's replace the numerous individual bulb rear lights and they are covered with custom built laminated lenses. The front lights are covered with clear lenses. The car was featured in Vette magazine February, 2003, "Just what the doctor ordered." It was present at the Monterey del Oro event later that same month, where Dick Guldstrand saw the finished product. This rare black beauty was restored to appeal to the discriminating auto enthusiast looking for a subtle yet wicked fast, low mileage, one-of-a-kind and extremely elegant ride.

I would have bought that for 50k but then again if you get several people bidding it could have went for a lot more. Still a screaming buy for someone. I wish our Z bodies would have a more exotic look the a reg. C4.JMHO :proud:

Reading up on this car.......50/50 weight distribution and 3100lbs....12.0 @120mph....pretty nice #s for the price.
