My wife is getting an early Xmas present that's coming today and we are both excited. I've owned many Vettes (70 LT1, 71 Vert, 72 454, 96 Grand Sport, 99 C5) over the years but never a ZR-1 which has always intrigued me. The 91 ZR-1 is being delivered w 14k miles on it with a set of aftermarket 93-95 chrome wheels as well as original wheels and tires. It will have good company with my 69 Mach 1

My first car was a 1970 Fastback that I sold to buy a 69 Mach1 I totaled pulling out in front of someone. It was a crappy 17year old mistake and I loved that car, and would love to get back into one. I don't think the 428 is in the ball park for me, but I'd like one with a 351 Cleavland backed up by a 4spd with Factory Air, if there is such a thing. Yours looks sharp!

It's safe and sound in our garage where it belongs!!! I will be familiarizing myself with the car this weekend and may have some questions but it seems very similar to my 96 Grand Sport.

In some ways yes but I never understood it until I had a Z of my own but it is a very different car IMHO. Not sure why it is but it is; defiantly something unique about it. The Z is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Congratulations on the new ride it looks absolutely killer  What number is it?

WOW!!! Amazing restoration progress on your 69, love the Eaton Supercharger hiding under there. I had a 03 Cobra and a 07 Shebly GT500 and loved the sound of the Eaton spooling up after I did a pulley swap and CAI.

I got in a time crunch with delivery and couldn't be stealthy enough to hide a big *** bow, all the same she was still very excited!! Thanks for all the compliments fellas.

Its amazing how many of us ZR-1 owners also own classic Mustangs. Variety is the spice of life. Carter200 also has a 67 with a 468 BB in it. Its badass. And the one mustang I see even less than any of the classic mustangs is the 1968 1/2 428 super cobra jet with thethe automatic transmission. It supposedly laid down 400 hp but was only rated at 335 hp so it could compete.

I'd love to have a plain-Jane 5.0 2011-up Mustang- what a great improvement those are. I'll make do with my '08 C6 for now ;)

Welcome to the ZOO and congrats to you both on the nice score.
Bowtie and the Blue Oval go together well - after all other than Mopar they are the icons of USA car brands.
