Lee, I'd love to build another 54 street rod. Next time, with a real LT5 though.

I built a red 54 back in 2001 with a Newman chassis, LS1/AT//AC/C4 suspension, 58 hardtop, etc. One of the first pro touring 54's of its time.

An LT5 54 sounds like a good plan!!

I really like this car for all the work that went into it but just cant past all the black.

Me too. It's a great car, but I don't think the color does it justice. JMHO.

It would be cool to do one that, at a glance, looks like a stocker. But the wheel treatment would be a problem.

BTW, Hot Rod Magazine has a feature on this car this month.

That's a wicked 59'. But like the 54', It's ceased to be a real Corvette in a way. The performance must be phenomenal, but like the "Funny Cars" of the sixties, when it becomes a tube frame race car underneath with a fiberglass potato chip on top, it loses a lot of it's true Corvette nature.

I think it is obviously over powered. The driver is clearly scared of it as is not really hustling around the track. The car is most likely sans stability control and is a 600 hp short wheelbase nightmare.

probably a 400 hp 5.7 would have been more fun to drive
