Its a personal choice of course. I've used one on both my old LT-1 (14 years) and now the Z (5 years) for a total of 19 years.
Pro: It keeps the front like the day you bought the car. The front of my Z looks brand new under the bra.
Con: A very good wax job underneath is a must....repeated every few months. Never but never drive it in the rain or wash it etc with the bra on.
Besides, I like the looks of the black bra , chrome wheels and the yellow Z are a good combination.

Not a fan. Granted, my Z's paint isn't worthy of protecting, but even on nicer cars that I've owned, I don't like bras. I just don't see the appeal.

Not a fan. Can cause fading and paint damage from moisture and dirt under the bra if kept on for long periods of time. Must keep clean and dry. Not for everyday use in my opinion. However, can protect from stone damage on longer trips. By the way, the above is from personal experience long ago.

Depends on a couple of factors.
1. Age
2. O.E. or bolt-ons.
Usually the bolt-ons don't require as much support.

I prefer a natural look, and believe all of the snaps, straps and hooks are a detractor to the beauty of the original equipment.
IMHO a bra should be used on long trips to protect from obvious road debris, etc. but otherwise it's not needed.

I have a speed lingerie bra. They fit ok and are color coded. For long trips a must for Daily drivers a must.
The real question should be chips or no chips????
However if you dont wax or clean the underside they will marr but nothing wax cant take care of. I was wondering about going to a film product as it looks better however I have not heard too many ositive reviews about those products as well

I have used the clear film bras on other cars/Harleys and they work great. But you have to make sure that the cuts and edges are on the body line so that they don't show up as much. Removing them only requires a heat gun or a hair dryer. I haven't had any yellowing or of coming loose.

For a long road trip on the highway is would seem prudent to protect the paint. Otherwise it is a personal preference.

Im with David.Id prefer not to have anything of course but chips are a fact so I use one of these and love it,anything to keep the paint looking as good as possible.Ive got a used one for sale if anybody wants it,$60.On the other hand Ive got one of the Speed Lingerie covers, paid almost $500 for the thing and I hate, will probably never go back on the car.

IMHO, Bras are for women.
The clear plastic sheets are probably a good alternative if you are a committed waxer, but I've driven my ZR-1 for 17 years , for over 50K mi. and only collected a couple of little chips. So what, it's the "patina of age", easily touched up.
I've got a white/black car and I don't like the look, (sorry, but the car pictured above is exhibit A).

The opinion above is my humble opinion alone and is not intended to offend other owners that may have applied various decorations to their cars, including, Bras, multiple additional emblems, decals, vanity plates , chrome accessories, wings, mudflaps, flames, or fuzzy dice. My design philosophy is simply, "if it doesn't make the car faster, stop quicker, or handle better......restrain yourself and leave it alone."
But, of course, this is not meant to besmirch the taste of other owners who feel the need to festoon their cars with the above mentioned regalia. More power to ya.
No bra ! Let the beauty show. It's only a car.

You might have some luck with this company for the clear protector.

Do you honestly think I put this on my car because I think it looks good or would enhance the appearance? The thing looks like the bumper needs to be painted from a distance,if it saves the paint it works for me.For those that dont mind the rock chips,so be it,my car has next to none and thats how I chose to keep it.In your opinion should people do away with seat covers, car covers or anything else that helps to protect the car from wear?

Of course not. They should do anything that makes them feel good, it's their car. You don't drive with a car cover on, so that's moot, but accessories like bras and mud flaps, even though they protect the finish IMHO degrade the appearance of the car while you're driving it.
In my estimation, there are too many pampered ZR-1s that exhibit low miles and no signs of wear. It's kind of sad really, like a beauty queen that never gets laid.
