I am a pretty good mechanic , But The LT5 is a different animal Plus I've been out of the turning wrenches for some time.. But I had a thought the other day ( oohh boyyyy) what if someone with a shop ( maybe someone on this site ? ) and bought an old zr1 (I've seen them being sold for parts) . Anyway what if they bought an old zr and had classes on a weekend on how to take it apart. I'm sure people would pay to learn on an old one before they messed up a good one of their own.. Then when all classes are basically finished they could sell the vette and it would be a good profit .win win for everyone plus a great meet & greet .. Dumb idea? I mean I'd pay $400.00-$500.00 for a weekends class. The vette could have the hood / doors hatch etc already removed and easy quick assess for quicker learning .. OK so now that you've heard my stupid idea , go ahead and start laughing. nuk nuk nuk

Gordon Killebrew does this and is located in TN. You can't find a nicer guy.

How about just a video?

I'd love it, but unless you locate it in an area
where you have a group of zr-1 owners, you
won't get enough to attend and make it profitable.
It would have to be in Illinoi(z) or Texas or WAZOO.
And they already have people to show them what
to do.

Pete , a video was my second thought. a video is a 2nd best idea, there's nothing like hands on.
If it was planned a month or so before the class , you can get some really great deal on flights scheduled far enough ahead.
actually I was at one time doing a video on the Hayabusa motorcycles, with the world land speed record holder, ( Dave Owen ) , we had the business getting started and he got killed trying to break his own speed record ...My other partner got lazy and all fell thru...
