I recently orderd A twin disc set up from RAM clutches.I've always known that
the stock set up would not hold up to these big motors with the torque numbers that they make. Thanks to Bob G. and his contact one of these bad azz twin discs is on the way.I have A feeling my 441 cid motor will put out at the very least 530Torque,what do you say Bob?.

Al,530 RWTQ is easy, heck you got 525 now with some dyno time/tuning i'm shooting for 540RWTQ.

You stiill have those baby cams in that thing .239in .224ex
We need to get you bigger intakes.
Man cams :)

Pete

For those who don't know this Z it idles 800-850,drives like a stocker,no spitting, coughing, surging, hesitation, drives perfect in traffic or long distance, heck grandma can drive this thing.
All FBI Z's drive like stockers and run like he!! :-D

Me and Pete finished installing the new twin disc setup in my car.i gotta tell you guys the ease of driving with this setup is exactly like the stock clutch.Taking off from A dead stop, shifting through the gears very smooth, although
the rain kept me off the throttle.
now there's one thing left to do and that is to test it out,i'll keep you guys posted on the results.
Ram clutches also makes A conversion kit for the replacement for the stock pull type pressure plate system.

Great news! Sharpening our swords to defend the trophy, are you?? =D> Congratz!!

Al, when you say a "conversion" for the stock setup, is it still a "pull" type setup, or more like the hydraulic actuated push throwout setup you (and Bob G) have?

P.

it's the hydraulic actuated push type diaphram pressure plate with A concentric release bearing.

A word of advice leave the cams alone, you have all you need and can drive it on the street. I have phase 2 cams and the street manners leave a lot to be desired.

Tyler,

Maybe one of us at the FBI could help out with your tuning.

Tyler what are the specs of the Phase 2 cams?
This will explain if the issue is cams or she just needs a good tune.

Kevin has some huge cams and it drives like a stocker grandma can drive it,i don't understand how a whole lot of guys have cams and they drive like crap,i have Stage III .242 .450 intakes .224 .420 exhaust in my 350ci and drives like a stocker no hick ups.
Most FBI Z's have cams & no secondaries with no issues, they drive like stockers, you say you don't believe me well BG is 5 months away ask your local FBI guy for a test drive.:fahne:
