OK,..So I will lay it out like this:....I found some serious corrosion issues in "Irene"...She has 106,000 miles and had a ton of money dumped into her to pass CA emissions(like $7,000)....ANYHOO!....I ops checked everything and found bad/broken wires here and there(some even so corroded they snapped off the clips)....no biggie..I work on 40 Million dollar airplanes every day, Not a big deal....First major Issue I ran into(interior) was the seats.....(god its like a horror movie right???)

Ok,..Obviosly we see the issue here Right??,..So I thought well,..lets at least see what the wiring is lookin like.........

BRAND NEW SET OF MASS BACK CORVETTE CENTRAL FLAME RED CARPET
ALL NEW WIRING FOR THE AMPS AND REPAIRS FOR THE SEATS/STEREO ECT

I am now seting up all the wiring and ops checked the amps and separates!!!!...Carpeting on the way!!!

I am also putting the heatshield on the transmission tunnel as well as Dynamat on the sills! ,..
****NOTE: I HAVE FOUND NO OTHER EVIDENCE OF WATER OR CORROSION IN THE CAR!!...BUT WITH THAT BEING SAID ARE THERE ANY OTHER THINGS I CAN DO CHEAPLY WHILE IM UNDER HERE????
Anybody have a hurst shifter they want to sell cheap?????:)

I dunno,.. maybe,..I mean the corrosion is 99% limited to the seat area the drivers was by faaaaaar the worst!,..soooooo...YES I am going with that....The car pulled so hard the driver pissed his pants.....Alot!!!(or he was a drunk who couldnt hold is water):drunken_s

probably a leaking window or targa seal on that side. That, or at one time the window was broken or left open in a rainstorm.

Remember the red 91 that was parked outside in Florida I think.It was on Fleabay and I dont think there was a single metal part on that car that was any good.

GETTING IT CUT AND FORMED INTO PLACE IS A TASK!.. But I bought the best kit with the MASS backing,...the hardest part for me is the gluing of the small parts,...!

NOW,....what is the best way to glue the small panels to the dash and the doors????...what glue seems to be the best..
I bought the spray glue...that S^&T dont work!,......PLEASE LET ME KNOW ANY IDEAS !!!!:confused:

on my 89 a hot glue gun seemed to do the best job
