Carter,

Osama is the one that's dead. And the president is the one who makes the call to send troops into Pakistan without that country's knowledge. If it hadn't been successful, would you be blaming Panetta today? I don't think so.
You can't have it both ways. Go ahead. You can say it.
President Barack Obama successfully prosecuted the capture and disposition of the #1 Wanted Criminal on Earth. Not Bush. Obama.

O"B"ama or O"S"ama it's all BS. I made a typo which I guess you never do. [-X I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with you over who did or did not do something. We'll let the voters do the talking and after January 2012 let's just see.
Now let's get back to the one thing we can all agree on and that's humor and our love of the ZR-1.

This is a good quote

"Let's be clear on this: OBAMA did NOT kill Bin Laden. An American sailor, who Obama, just a few weeks ago, was debating on whether or not to PAY, did. In fact, if you remember a little less than two years ago, his administration actually charged and attempted to court-martial 3 Navy Seals from Seal Team Six, when a terrorist suspect they captured, complained they had punched him during the take down and bloodied his nose. His administration further commented how brutal they were. The left were calling them Nazi's and Baby Killers. Now all of a sudden, the very brave men they vilified are now heroes when they make his administration look good in the eyes of the public. Obama just happened to be the one in office when the CIA finally found the b...... And our sailors took him out. Essentially, Obama only gave an answer. Yes or No, to him being taken out. This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN victory!!"

Not that I want to get into a political discussion/debate, but I will say they both deserve credit.
Many of the policies instituted by the Bush administration were wisely carried on during the Obama administration despite his constituency demanding they stop. Everything from Guantanamo to the intelligence communities efforts to track Osama down.
So while Obama does deserve credit for giving the go ahead on the operation that resulted in killing Osama(he could have said no like Clinton did back years ago), some credit also needs to go to the former administration as well.

The good news is that no matter what political persuasion Americans are, everyone can rejoice that this mass murderer is no longer walking the face of the earth.

Thanks guy's. Geoffrey was how shall I say ? ? Especial. Especially nuts. One in a million. He was going up to help while everyone was trying to go down. Was glad to have known him.

Have been there several times Dom. It's spectacular and heartbreaking at the same time. Hard to explain. Get the feeling of an apple stuck in the throat when we go there.

Frank,

Seeing it on television, it very much gives me the same sense as I got when I visited the Vietnam Memorial in Washington. I watched a NOVA on them building the memorial and how every guy on that crew was focused on making sure it was done for the 10th Anniversary of 9.11. It looks stunning and I can hardly wait to go there. Being from NYC, I know what the WTC meant as a symbol. The greatest compliment I can bestow on the memorial is that it looks as if it has been part of the city forever. As if it has alays been there. It is a wonderful tribute to people like your brother! :salute:

You must be very proud of him.
