I hit up a nice Corvette Show on Sunday. I haven't touch my car since the 3.73 WAZOO gear swap months ago. I came in home in a rain storm that morning so the Z wasn't lookin so hot.
I had my 2 sons (5/6yrs old) help me clean her up, they polished the alum & SS under the car as well as cleaning the wheels/tires. I did the polish & wax. They hung in there for about 1.5 hrs and did a great job. It's funny at their age they don't realize that they are working. I finished the final detail stuff up Sat. nite.
Arrived at the show late and was the last car to register (had to coach a 8 am football game) My wife & kids met me at the show about an hr after I arrived. 1st question out of their mouths when they showed up was "what can we clean dad" (taught them well, lol)
We had a perfect weather day and about 170 cars showed up. Had a chance to se Marty and his son (he is growing up fast) his son, not Marty.
As always his 93 Ruby was lookin strong.
Did the walkabout with the family and some freinds that also came down for the show. So many beautiful Corvettes, everybody brought out their A game for this one.
We ended up winning 1st place in our C4 class as well as winning Best C4 in the show. I had the kids go up an receive the awards for their hard work. (little life lesson teaching moment).

The Z was showed a lot a respect by all who stopped by to look and many reasonable questions were ask. I over heard one young kid rattling off all the specs of the C4 ZR-1 to the older men he was with. He was correct on everything and I was happily surprised.
I suck at posting pics so I am going to send a pic to Dave J. and maybe if he's not sleeping he can post it for me.
Sorry for the long post

Congratulations Ricky!!

I bet the 3.73 gears were worth a few points, so it was all worth it.

Thanks Z- Brothers, no keys yet Tom but they did both get a spirited ride home. I had to make them promise not to tell anyone at school about how fast we were going ;) Daddy doesn't need a vist from the State :censored:
