You guys gotta come out! I want to see what Jim's 368 can do without traction problems, and more importantly, what David's shiny new cams can do! You have to bring that thing out David, I'm really interested to see how hard that thing runs and what it can trap.

I'm pretty sure Sean will go, he certainly wants to run his C6. He swapped manifolds and exhaust with an LS7, so we're both keen to see what that means on the track. Hopefully Mike can make it as well, and test out those KDW's in the cold.

Thanks for posting this Bob.

I will be there!!!!!!!!

I will probably bring the 93QB now that I have all of the injector issues sorted out. I want to see how it runs after the porting. If my son is available, I will bring the 1990 also.

Tranny/clutch swap? What are you doing to the trans? Are you "David"ing it?

Yeah you could say that......I was able to pick up a new ZF for the LT5 so it is with Bill B. as we speak and he is working his magic. Hope to have it back soon, but he is quite busy right now. Thought I could tolerate the rattle, but can't stand it anymore. (Be quiet Daryl!!!!)

Ok, well Jim's in, Sean's in, and I will try to run the V if they let me. Mike can't make it, nor Rich. Anyone else? David, you gonna bring that beast now that it's all ready to run? I am very interested to see what it can throw down and what kind of trap speeds the porting + cams can achieve.

Oh man, it's probably a good 4 1/2 to 5 hours. I bought my Caddy down in Norfolk. Driving there and back in the same day was quite a trip...

Hey Ted, You are welcome to drive the '90! I will probably be accused of bringing in a ringer. ;)

Mason-Dixon Dragway is west of Frederick, MD. It maps out at 250 miles from Norfolk. The guest room is available for out of town drivers. WAZOO will extend you a warm (or cold: ) welcome.

Jim,
I would like to trailer a car up if all works out. Is the guest room offer valid?

Yes, you are cordially invited to stay at the WMD support facilty (my house).

When you get a chance email me your plans so we can setup a proper WAZOO welcome.

Well, just smart enough to click the spoofer-title link. Can I pay at the gate?

It's the only way I could post the url. ;)

You can pay at the gate, that's what I've always done.

Should be a decent turn out!

I just invited 2 others to come that don't come to the forum at all....

Bob, thanks for posting this!

Sounds great! It's really shaping up to be quite the LT5-fest! I'm getting anxious already, it should be a blast!

I am not trying to be a downer but... is there a rain/snow date for this event?

Yeah, it's not looking very promising.....just checked the track website, nothing posted yet on re-schedule.

Need some advice--planning to drive up from Norfolk. Doesn't seem like a good idea. Thoughts?

Looks like rain and snow!

Forecasting stinks around here, so best to wait until 11n and make a final decision

I'll call the racetrack in a few hours and see what they say

At past events, there was no rain date. It was either on, or cancelled (in which case they refunded early registrations). I would guess that's the same this time.

I did send an email to the person handling the registration, but haven't heard back. My guess though is no rain date.

I've heard back: No rain date. If it is bad weather, that's it.

My two cents, anyone who was planning on driving a distance (like >50 miles), I would not plan on this happening. The forecast looks pretty grim.

Sunday should be nice, but Mason-Dixon has no test/tune on 10/30. 75-80 is closed for the season, and Sumerduck doesn't have a test/tune on 10/30 either. So I think the weekend will likely be a no-go.

I would propose we hit Mason-Dixon in two weeks during a test and tune instead:

This has been officially canceled. I can't believe we're gonna get snow in October! They've actually been salting the roads here today.
