Looking forward to it!!! This is a GREAT show!!!

All ZR-1 brothers are invited to my house for a cookout after the show. I live about 1 hour towards NY from Mystic...this is great for our Burgerittoville/Heavenly Donuts/NY/WAZOO crew...probably a logistical issue for MA and RI though, sorry.

Please post up or PM me if you can make it. Also, we can handle some overnighters as well. Just let me know!!!

I'll post up directions/more info later this week....

I plan to be there. I haven't really done anything about getting brake lines or anything else for a maintenance day, but the offer was surely appreciated. Is anyone from our group meeting up for the drive?

We've got tentative "I'll be theres" from a dozen ZR-1s for "Vettes in the Village" this Sunday!!!!!!!!!!! The weather forecast is for sunny with a few clouds and 65 degrees!

Last year we had over 300 Vettes in attendence at this non-judged Vettes only gathering!

Thanks for your support!
This event allows our club to make some "serious" donations to several local charities as well as the NCM!
Doug

No Koi fishing allowed!!! (you could probably catch some with your hands...they are pretty friendly)

If you want to have some fish on the grill, I'll need to get it ahead of time from the local Stop and Shop!!!!

You in for this event? How about Lou?

I think John is coming down from Albany...

There is construction at the rest areas on I-95...any thoughts on a good meeting spot?

I'll be there with my 1990.

The weather forecast looks OK. Rain on Saturday followed by a cold front.
Sunday will be somewhat cold and windy - but dry.

For a meeting place, the rest stop between exits 53 and 54 on Rt. 95 worked out good last year. However, I am not aware of whether there is any construction going on this year. There was another Corvette club also meeting there last year - so a good collection of 'vettes.

What time? Also, the Chowder Pot in Branford is just off of 95. (Can't remember which exit number). That might work if you don't want to risk construction in the rest area.

Chowder Pot is at Exit 56 off I-95....want to plan to meet there at 8:45 and be on the road before 9:00?

Sounds good. Weather looks to be decent with a small chance of rain between 8:00 Am and 3:00 PM...

I am capable of grilling (and drinking) in the rain!

:saluting: speaking for myself only, I will plan on being at Exit 56 about 8-8:15 AM if I'm flying solo. If Lou calls me & is feeling up to it I'll drag him to the meet point also.

“Vettes in the Village” Mystic CT is definitely ON!!! Sunday 10/9

Perfect weather and almost 80 degrees predicted for Sunday!!!!!!!

Last Sunday, it was pouring rain at 9am and by 10:30am it was perfect, what can you do?... I went for a ride in my Z!
If we had the event, it would have rained all day...

:( I'm out as the job action I'm running is still on. Lou is also out as he has an issues with his eyes and the ill fitting contact lenses and his corneas. There seems to be blood vessel issues & some bleeding.

Sorry Doug. Unless my labor dispute gets resolved before Sunday, I'm on a picket line.

I'm going, Bob. Unfortunate that we can't hook up as I'm coming from Middletown (up Rte. 9, picking up 95 on Old Saybrook.) See you there.

Mike,

That is typically the way I would be coming as well. Last week I was going to go via 95 to meet up with the others. I cut through Middletown and head down RT 9 to 95. What time are you planning to leave?

"Vettes in the Village '11" was so fine. Sorry the scheduling knocked out so many of the Brotherhood from attending - you were missed. Doug and his FCO club did a great job in organizing the event - and it showed. The weather was spectacular (Doug will not take credit for this) and the venue was overflowing with Vettes. Congratulations and thanks to Doug and FCO - looking forward to 2012.

"Vettes in the Village" in Mystic was a great success! Inspite of it being on the rain date, we still had 275 Vettes show up!!! That includes several ZR-1s from the Brotherhood!!!! The weather was fantastic! Thanks for your support!!! This event makes it possible for our small club, "For Corvettes Only", to make some serious donations to local charities as well as to the NCM.
Thanks again!!!!
Doug and "FCO"
