4th ANNUAL NORTHWEST ZR-1 NET REGISTRY GATHERING

Greetings to all Northwest ZR-1’ers! This year marks the 4th consecutive occurrence of the Northwest ZR-1 Net Registry Gathering, to be held August 11-14, 2006 in the Vancouver, Washington/Portland Oregon area. Mark your calendars! This event is brought to you by the ZR-1 Net Registry (www.zr1netregistry.com) in conjunction with the Rose City Corvettes of Portland, Oregon annual Classic event (www.rosecitycorvettes.org). Last year’s event brought out a total of 14 ZR-1’s in a rainbow of colors, and this year promises to be even better.

Event Schedule

Friday, August 11. Meet and Greet BBQ in Vancouver, Washington at Jeff and Sam Flint’s house. 6 p.m. to ? All food, beer, wine and soft drinks provided. Honorary guest speaker may will be in attendance! Stay tuned for details.

For the intrepid, a night of drag racing at Portland International Raceway is available following the BBQ. Cost is $18 to run, $8 for spectators.

Saturday, August 12. Largest Corvette-only car show in the Northwest, sponsored by Rose City Corvettes. $20 entry fee. Rags down at 10:00 a.m., judging at 2:00 p.m. Complementary lunch served for show participants, courtesy of Rose City Corvettes. Last year, 3 of our ZR-1 faithful took home show trophies. Car Show to be followed by a driving tour and dinner; route and dinner location TBD.

For the really intrepid, yet another night of drag racing at Portland International Raceway is available following the driving tour and dinner. Cost is $18 to run, $8 for spectators.

Sunday, August 13. Autocross at Portland International Raceway. Cost is $25, payable in advance or at the event (we recommend you register and pay in advance). Registration at 7:00 a.m., autocross starts at 8:00 sharp. Helmet and car in good technical condition required; inspection required at the event.

Monday, August 14. Track day at Portland International Raceway. Cost is $125, payable in advance or at the event (we recommend you register and pay in advance). Tech inspection at 7:00, driving starts at 8:00. Helmet and car in good technical condition required; inspection required at the event.

Previous attendees have stayed at this Holiday Inn. It is very conveniently located and quite nice. Note that you need to make your reservations by July 11 in order to secure the group rates we have negotiated. The rates are $82 for a king bed room, and $86 for a two queen bed room. This represents a discount of approximately $40 per room from the regular rates.
