Finally, my new Steel Blue 1991 ZR1 with 3,450 miles is road ready, thanks to Jim and Dave's intrepid help and support installing the oem 1991 exhaust, replacing a straight thru hack job exhaust, and Dr. Lews Corvette's in Dundalk, MD, who replaced all the parts under the plenum, vacuum lines, and tested everything for 100% power, and did a great job raising the suspension 2". The prior owner made some interesting modifications, which made the car mostly undrivable on the street, but she is back to the way the General intended

Next, to maker her picture perfect, is remove horrible dark tint, ZR1 windshield sticker, wax and maybe clearcoat... still has original Gatorback tires, which are suprisingly not dry rotted, but will soon be replaced.

I can't wait to meet everyone at Carlisle at the end of this month. Here are
some pictures :dancing:

I've never seen a zr-1 windshield sticker. the idea is cool but it's just a bit much, would look good on a wall. can't wait to see you and your car at carlisle. i love that color.

I think Steel Blue and AB are the two best looking colors a ZR-1 was available in. Looks like a real beauty.

Love it! Steel blue with the blue interior is what my dream ZR-1 would have been. Can't believe you found one with such low miles, and in reasonably stock condition.

I don't envy you removing tint, though. What a messy pain that is...

It looks sorta like the wheels are polished and the brakes are red? But maybe it's just the exposure of the picture.

Yes, this has turned out to be a fantastic car! After some elbow grease and cobweb cleaning, she looks, runs and drives like a showroom
Fresh ZR1! Logging lots of smiles with this mild winter.
