At Bloomington Gold I saw several C4s with a suction camera mount attached to the hatch (outside). I don't know that I'd want to attach a suction (or anything) to the laminated windshield, and I'm not about to drill any holes, and I don't have a roll bar (yet).
I have a Nikon Cool pix L22, and a Sony Video cam. I'd like to capture the dash and the road, if possible. Any suggestions/recommendations for a decent camera mount?
TIA,
P.

The ones outside are probably a GoPro or similar, and are impact-resistant. For your camera, an interior suction mount would be the way to go. I don't see the concern with the windshield, the crappy delaminating film is between glass layers, you can't touch it.
Other options are ones that attach to the headrest posts, but that won't work on a Corvette as the headrest is not adjustable.
You could also buy a harness bar that bolts in between the seatbelt mounts on the halo bar. Pricey just to have a camera, but certainly a possibility.
Paul, I have an I/o Port adjustable camera mount that I would be interested in selling if that would work for you. I use it in my race car and I have an additional one sitting around somewhere I think. It will need to mount on a harness bar or rollbar though. These have inifinite adjustability and are very high quality units. Let me know if this may work and I will try to put my hands on it.

Just get a Brey Krause harness bar. It mounts to the seatbelt stansions. No drilling or cutting and they make an awesome camera mount for it

Paul both of the cars with the cameras were mine here are the links for both items. I wouldn't worry about mounting a suction cup to the window as the lamination in inside of two pieces of glass.

the windshield is laminated in the middle, not on the outside
