Last week my air conditioning stopped blowing cold. Than the radio stopped working. The air conditioning than stopped shutting off and the controls did nothing, no on, no off, no up and down for the fan. Than the readout when ---. The radio I noticed the antenna wasn't up. I assumed that was why I had no sound. Put in a CD and nothing happened. Than the controls stopped functioning. I disconnected the neg. on the battery figured maybe that would rest everything. It did but after fiddling with the two everything went haywire again. The air just blows full and hot. The radio does nothing. Anybody got Ideas. Went thru the manual couldn't find any ideas to look at. Please Help

Thanks
Rich

sounds like you may have got a mouse inside your dash and ate thru a few wires .

IDK on the ZR-1 but a mustang I use to have did weird stuff like that when the alternator was going out.

I didn't read thru all of it, but the minute I saw this thread I thought of this write up by Gordon. Check it out and see if your situation fits in this article.

I checked all fuses pulled them and tested. Tom I will read over the Gordon memo when I get home.

If all fuses are OK, the next possible source would be the CCM given all the interior faults you describe. Do you have the FSM section 8 of the electrical diagrams and troubleshooting? That will be required information to continue diagnosing the problems.

:handshak: Cool Rich! I'm glad it was something simple. That happened to me one time on the road to BG. I got the bright idea to see if I could put the A/C display into diagnostic mode and see the oil & coolant temps that the ECM was getting.....:o....and I fubared something and couldn't get back out of the diagnostic mode. I had to stop & disconn the battery!:o I'll not try that again with out the printed instructions!

It's in that link I posted. It's from our NetReg home base in the maintenance section.
