This is for sale on the ZR1 Net, I was wondering if anyone has any info on this car? A dealership in NE has it right now and said they just put a Corsa exhuast on it, LPE brakes and dyno'd it.
I notice it has those Sumo tires on it, the motor color is bad, the arm rest is horrible and i might be wrong but they added a ZR1 Badge to the right front fascia.
Thanks,
Eric :proud:

looks like a nice car and it was owned by someone who really loved it and was probably a registry member

having the last 3 of the vin would be helpful. i would have no problems buying that car right now, i have no doubts that it was taken care of by who signed the plenum

I agree 100% With both signitures, I bet they went to his school and that would or should mean well taken care of.
Check the wear on the seat and floor mats. It's a low mileage and rare color... (one of 44 Admiral Blue made in 1994 and only 12 made in 1995)
Run a car fax and see how many owners. My guess is one and the dealer.

I'm waiting for the VIN# and CARFAX if they have one already.
Does the engine color look faded or dis-colored?

if you find one that isn't it's been painted or powder coated. the paint on the lt5 isn't that great but it looks fine. However from what i've seen the brakes look stock but i can't get a good look at the fronts

The way i read the email from the guy at the dealership is, they just added the LPE brakes, exhaust and tune. But in the pics, the Corsa is already on, so I'm not sure.

I noticed the darker exhaust myself...

All Corsa exhaust's do that. Beware of the blue turtle syndrome, these are inherently slow. Got something to do with the color.
Happy hunting Eric !
FU David !
Really the Admiral blue is with out a doubt just about the best looking ZR1's built.

Theres plenty of cars out there with a stock finish that looks factory fresh and has never been refinished.

JMHO.....from looking at the picts of the motor I would guess that the finish is OEM. The black on the plenum looks to be a bit better than the black on the cam covers, but it could be the angle & light.....to me the give away to stock paint is the pox up at the T/B plate in the close up pict of Gordon's & Chris' signatures.
Also, my take on the brakes is that they are not in this picture group. The fronts look stock to me? The rears are for sure OE.
Eric, I would ask a favor from JVD and ask him to call that dealer and see if a bit of professional courtesy could be leveraged to get some answers to your Q's......worth a shot, no?
Good hunting!

I just thought maybe someone tried to wash/clean the motor and it turned that color...maybe not. The brakes look stock to me as well, will try to get some answers on the car today.
I might ask JVD, I will see him in a few hours...Going to the Corvette Homecoming in a few minutes to hang out and see what is going on....:fahne:

I don't know but with only 28k the interior looks pretty wel beaten. I have 36k on my '92 and it looks a 100 times better.

Usally if somebody washes a motor and it ruins the finish it will look chalky or streaker reeally bad.The OEM finish on these cars varies from a bright silver all the way to an almost gloss grey with a little metallic in the finish. The finish on this motor looks as if maybe the car was left outside and the weather did this to the finish, heat cycles from very cold to high temp.$30,000 for this car is a great price if it does have low mileage.
