As of now, the weather looks good for tomorrow night...
Anyone else in for a little Burgeritto and ice cream???
For the newbies, just off I-84 Exit 10. Drive past the Diner, under the railroad tracks and the Vettes will be parked on the right. Very casual and low key cruise night.....1/4 mile from Exit 10...starts around 6:00 PM and goes until dusk.

The local guys (non ZR-1 guys) will also shy away if the weather looks lousy.....hopefully the rain will hold off until after sunset....it is the first day of Summer today!!!

Scott, yea the rain is a bummer.
:o I am going to back out as I'm going to Lou's to finish what I started on Sunday on his car. I was going to play hooky but my conscience will not let me leave his cooling system unfinished. I hope you guys have a great night!

Well it never did rain down by me! I have to learn that summer T-storms is just BS when it's less than 50% probability. Anyway me & Lou got his cooling & A/C systems squared away so it was time well spent. Next we have to track down some oil leaks. I think it's the cam covers....oh joy!
Next week I'll see if I can get Lou to come on up with me.

Now that is the truth Scott! I can't think of a better way to spend a nice summer evening than to hang with my fellow BOB's. It was a great time as usual!
The guys in your club are aces too! They are a great group to know. Thanks for inviting me.
Yea, Bob you gotta make some time to come and hang out with us bro. We missed you last night.
Hey Doug, so what do you think of my lame idea about Bloomington next year? I'm game and I think it would be fun to hook up with the FBI guys & hang with them at that event?

Hey Bob, have a great vacation! We still missed your company and it will be nice to get all of us together again later on in July and August. We have to cook up some things to do like some cruises to waste gas and such.
For sure the LRP meet in September will be great and it would be cool to see how many Z's we can get to come and join in the fun.
Be well and have fun in Toronto!

If we ever get a Tuesday without rain or at least one where I know I might be able to get back before the monsoon, I plan to drop down. Last Tuesday we had a gulley washer starting at 6 for a couple hours. Weather comes from the west and unfortunately so do I.
Will see you at LRP on the 9th. Long range forecast is for clear skys and low 80's.

Yes for sure that car is the tits!
I try to get enough time to get to the Heavenly meet. I did it once but the traffic was a bear for me at rush hour on the Merritt! One day I'll see if I can do the leave work early thing so I don't have to fight traffic so much!
I'll be there Tuesday as long as my Board President doesn't expect me to hang out on Tuesday night for the Mayor's visit to my building! Some political BS going on I just got the word on this affair a few minutes ago. I have to call my building manager and see if my presence is required or what during this meet & greet. Sooo, if all I have to do is set up for this thing, I'm a vapor trail after work on Tuesday.....if I gotta stay then I guess I'm screwed!

As soon as I can speak with Lou at length tonite I will post up the details. I volunteered to go with him to make sure the local Pepsi Distributor gets his set up straight. The CEO lives in Greenwich and if she happens to come by I told Lou we better "get it right" or else. I'll have to see what & how it all shakes out. I would say yes save for this set up thing with Lou.
Mike, that's what I get for being short! I'm glad no one got a picture of that!
Seriously, that's what our Brotherhood is all about....no ZR-1 left behind It happened to me when I was a rookie owner at a show down in Atlantic City. Ron Kreigh was the first other Z owner that I met. He was welcoming me to the club and loking over my Z when he noticed that one of the clips that hold the FX3 motor on the top of the shock was adrift. Seamlessly as we were speaking of the cars he reached down and reinstalled the clip and then gave me the skinny on keeping an eye on the clips! It was, I guess, how I learned to be a Brother of The Beast.

Either way I'll be in my R-32 (VW) my daily driver... actually the R-32's more rare than the ZR Note: I didn't say better but it is a real unique piece, 3.2L 24 valve 15 degree VR6, variable valve timing on intake & exhaust, 241 hp, 6 speed all wheel drive, ABS disc brakes bigger than the Z, traction control, adjustable Bilsteins, dual mode exhaust, no wings/spoilers/coffee cans, no bright colors etc, Euro version goes 155mph but the US cars are factory chipped to 130 (ask me how I know...) it's a real sleeper compared to the WRXs and EVOs, less than 5000 built, it really scoots, but not anything like the Z. It's also "adult" (?) driven (not to worry, I'll park it a respectable distance away from the "cruise" cars, wear a jacket over my Registry t-shirt and pretend it belongs to someone else) ...at least it's not a ricer... and I'm probably the oldest person on the planet to own one...
is someone gonna make the last minute decision? I usually leave Mystic by 4:30 to get there around 6

Looks like iffy weather at best. We now show a 50% chance of thunderstorms.....let's shoot for next week rather than take a chance on bad weather tonight.
Bummer.
I will try to make the Greenwich show this Sunday...anybody else going?

 I'm going to the Greenwich show this weekend.
I still do not know what I'm doing for Friday at Carlisle, Scott. My property manager just got back from vacation. I'll bring up the subject after I do something to make a headache from my building go away. Usually my requests are better received if I make like advil. :p

I may try to go to Greenwich too, not 100% sure yet though. If not, at least next Tuesday. I need to show off my new Tshirt.

Sooooo, I have to drive thru rain Tuesday?:icon_scra
I just checked and it's still 50% chance till 7 PM. How about we play this one by ear and if we get rained out we check the weather for Wednesday and I could try to make that meet in Derby at the doughnut place?

Let's play by ear. Wednesday is supposed to be good weather wise, just not sure if I'll be able to get out. Derby is even closer to me than Burgerittoville.

Okay, I'm going to work on getting out of work a bit early on Wednesday so I can make the Doughnut place at a reasonable time. The traffic is tough on the Merritt at rush hour.
Tonight looks to be iffy at best! What do you say Scott about Wed in place of Tues this time around?

Just returned from Heavenly Donuts. I don't know if the donuts are heavenly but the get together and company certainly was. I'm looking forward to a repeat - will see you at Carlisle. As more than a aside, I'm grateful to have Scott Bell as our state director - I envy you New Yorkers for having the likes of Tom Guidice as yours. Happy Zr-1 ing to us all.

Yea, we gotta do that again! It was fun. We had a good turn out of Z's, six of us were there. I'm in for another round as it wasn't all that bad traffic wise even on the way up at semi-rush hour. The ride home was better and much shorter and I even got home at a reasonable time...besides I didn't take any pictures, forgot I guess. :o
I second the motion on Scott!......that other guy? Well he fell down on the job....no pictures![-X

You guys are the best...I really, really enjoyed last night.
We need to invite more guys to our little get-togethers! I will try to get the word out a little more...maybe we can locate a few more B.O.N.E.s at Carlisle?
Keep Saturday October 1st open on your calendars...and of course the 2nd for the FCO show in Mystic.

I think the leadership we have in our group top notch. I am very grateful to have Scott as our leader, and I think New York is very fortunate to have Tom as their leader.
Last night was fun as usual.
Tom, I'm glad the ride home was better. Thought it might be.
Scott, safe travels to CA.
All of you have fun in Carlisle.

It's great that you make the journey (safely) - we all look forward to your sage advice. Those who have not yet joined us are truly missing out - we'd love to share more with the brotherhood. Regarding your appalling negligence in the picture taking category - don't feel so badly - no one else brought a camera (and, to my shame, I wouldn't know how to post them - another bit of instruction I hope you'll share with me.)

Never did get one of those Heavenly donuts... But none the less, I had a great time with a great bunch of the "Brothers"!!! Looking forward to Carlisle! Traffic was not an issue on the way home!
Scott: Thanks for the "Vettes in the Village" plug! Maybe we'll have more than the 300+ Vettes we had last year, including several from the "Brotherhood"!!!

I had my power turned on Wed night, so I needed to take care of things at home. I fortunately had a generator so my crucial circuits were working.
