wow....
Had the pleasure of meeting Leon and his wife @ BG this year. He started talking about putting an LT5 in a 1992 Corvette. I was like, oh great! He said, no a standard c4 corvette!!! VERY COOL!
That 1992 corvette was sold / given to his brother who wanted it badly and he decided to buy a 1995 Corvette Convertible (and drop another LT5 in that!)
He is bringing it to Carlisle this year!

This is the next project
First is the project car (1993 Ruby Convertible)
He purchased a 1989 Prototype LT5 and plans in installing it this winter!

I was watching a TV show about Lamborghini. They were showing assembly of Mercielago and commented the V12 weighed 1200 lbs.

I guess its cool. I don't like the idea of a C4 without the targa, never mind how the car feels as a convertible. I guess the appeal is the Verts never came with an LT-5 for production. I can appreciate the hard work and long hours but it really does nothing for me. Guess I'm odd ..... :P

I know this is out in left field....but are the wiring harnesses even compatible from the motor to the cabin bulk head connector and then on the CCM and all the rest of the stuff?

This is Leon's second install and he said it took time, but straight forward.
3rd install is coming this winter.

Well I guess I know what I will do with my spare motor when all if said and done......was the ZR-1 SPyder a narrow body?
I would really like a chopped windshield and modified top, but thats probably out of my league budgetwise

Lt5inwhat?

This is the second one, each year was different
Lt5inwhat?

Years 90-92, the engine harnesses needs to match the year or you will have to do a lot of rewiring. 93-95 seem to be the same.

I think Boyd Coddington made the wheels for the black car.If I had the money, space I would build a convertible ZR-1 just because there are only a few out there, most private conversions. How Id do it Id use a ZR-1 and a convertible, same years.Strip both cars from the B pillar back and use ALL of the convertible structure piece by piece.I wouldn't just lop the top off the ZR-1.
