Need help with removing the rear end. Has anybody done it on their own. I have everything disconnected but not sure about lowering the rear end. Is their anything to know about the motor and tranny ?

I've done it on my 89 when I did the Dana 44 swap.
I used "transmission jack" on the rear end to lower it out.
I forget what I used on the transmission or the motor from moving. It may come back to me later

I have pulled the center section and batwing of my rear end for a gear swap. I have a Quik Lift which is ideal for this job. Held the back of the tranny up with the Quik lift bridge and a small bottle jack, lowered the rear center section and batwing with the floor jack. If your not taking out the 1/2 shafts and knuckles it's pretty easy. Undoing u-joints and pulling drive shaft is easy, hardest part is wrestling with the support beam.

Here is the info from when you asked a few years ago. If these tips are not helping I'm not sure what else to recommend. It is just hung up in the mounts when you remove the bolts from the top since you mention that everything is off already and it just does not want to lower?
