I bought a set of hid h4 style headlight bulbs, ballasts, harness, and new projector style headlight housings. this is everything you would need to install in your car. I did have to lengthen the wires on the bulbs so that it could pass through the rotating hinge of the headlights. I have that much done, but could use a little extra cash. I paid $117 for them and will let them go for $60 obo. I have tested them and they are 100% functional and very bright. The picture shows everything that is included in the kit, plus the extension wires that I have installed to make them work with our headlight system.

Im very interested however can I get a pic of what the kit looks like now vs. the stock photo? (goldcylon@cox.net) Do you have the install instructions? Where is this kit from? Thanks GC

i can take some pics of the exact factory lights and housing that I removed from my car. I just put them in our service truck at work since they were the same size. I have the housings installed in my car already and can place the xenon bulbs in there so you can see how they compare....but honestly they very bright. I do have the install instructions and boxes. All the connections with the kit are weatherpack connections and can only fit one way. You will need to use only one of your harnesses from the back of your factory bulbs...either side, but you only need one....the other can be tucked away or as i planned just remove the connectors from the harness so that it can be put back to normal if ever desired. You will also need to run one of wires to the battery for power. If desired, i will label everything...but it's pretty straight forward for someone with at least a little 12 volt experience.
Oh...i bought it from KT Auto online. I'm sure if you do a search you would be able to find the kit like mine.

I'll try to get pics at noon today and post them as soon as i can.

Thanks!

Welcome :)

I'm interested in upgrading my lights also - been looking at the offerings on corvettehid.com but I think someone here had problems with their stuff so I'm not sure whether they are a good source or not.

(think it might have been goldcylon that mentioned issues with them in fact)

I did this upgrade on both the headlights and the fog lights. I LOVE it. Super bright! I used the Hella Glass housing. Had my stereo guys do the install. Don't recall the total cost but TOTALLY worth it at any cost.

I had issues with the Corvette HID Foglight kit. For all I know the problem was a bad ballast. I just gave up and sent it back in the end and they refunded my money.

wouldn't going to HID fog lights sorta defeat the purpose of having fog lights?

I know that when the foglight and headlight HID was done to my Z the only issue my installers had was the high beam indicator illuminates when both are used even when the headlights are on low beam. That's the only issue I have had and it has something to do with the HID resistance. This is what I am being told by my installers. So far nearly 2 years later no issues with this. Just my .02.
