I'm pretty sure that's Kurt White's 415 (Limey).

Marc Haibeck did two 368 cars at the same time. One had a stock plenum, the other a siamese. He got 15 hp more from the siamesed one. The exhausts were also a little different, but I know he believes the siamese one does add at least 10 hp....

To me, that is a whole lotta dough for 10 HP. Looks pretty amazing though.....

no wonder it's so expensive...

This came off of the 415 that BK did for me back in the day.

One thing Bill did do decent was the head work and big valves, which these are and the dropped siamesed plenum. The Plenum dropped about 6 years ago was over $7000.00 and the heads, well damn you could'nt duplicate them for half what i'm asking. That aside, these are ideal for a top running 415 if that's what you want.

Anyone buys the heads and dropped plenum, i'll throw in the 415 block @ N/C that's got to be a $5k + incentive to duplicate.

You can then buy the crank from GTBZR1 and be over halfway to a 415.

Mine was done way after limey's. I have ( had ) just the siamesed from BK. It was pricey, as with BK's later work I had to have GVD fix it. The price on the plenum is about what I have into mine, without the drop.

How he every thought this would work..........

Yes indeed that brought back some great and ugly memories. Damn though, when that 415 ran good it ran good! Top dawg for a few years in Tampa with that car, Nobody with an NA motor was close to me, then out came the TT cars and what not.

Funny story about BK, back in the mid term elections i popped down my local Tampa library to get a sample ballot and read up on the new props the state wanted to inact, always good to know wtf you're asked to vote on. I'm at home reading it, and almost lost it, bloody BK was on the electoral ballot. I had to read it a couple times just to make sure i wasn't dreaming or having a senior moment, but it was true. BK had decided he wanted to run for the Supervisiory board for Harbor Bay where he has a super nice house on the waterway.

He LOST.

http://www.votehillsborough.org/OfficeCandidate.aspx?eid=86&oid=684&cid=4680

Not sure all what his motive was to run, but i wasn't able to vote due to the district i am in.

Someone needs to step up and buy this stuff, it's only the crank that took a hit, the top end was done very good and made some serious power i still think it posted the highest NA #'s of any 415 @ SGC of 602 RWHP.

He should take a government job (useless). Because he couldn't build an LT5 for horse hockey. My BK 415 was held together with JB weld. When it was taken apart the tolerances were very lenient to say the least ,and burned 20/50 oil like I drink water. But on the positive side that 415 laid down a good 558 rwhp.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kurt the only reason why your car ran so good was because Aaron (SGC) had his hands on it. With the help of Mr. Greg V's porting also may I add.

As someone in a government job I resemble that remark! ;)

Would love to buy the parts to put together a 415, but building a garage and have family visiting from England this year so nothing spare in the kitty. Won't even make BG this year :(

My family background is Irish - if they came to stay with us I'd be forced by tradition to blow them up ;)

Will definitely post a few pics when it's done. Hardest thing has been finding someone to do the slab. I've done a bit of concrete work in the past but not enough to feel confident enough to tackle that part. Seems no-one needs any work around here!

What else do i have to do to sweeten the deal to get this lot sold.

Fully ported heads with large valves - big *** dropped plenum "415" block with studded mains, full set of bearings and gaskets, as well as a full set of new head bolts & 32 new lifters!

$8.5k & i'll cover the shipping US only though.

So what would be needed in addition to that stuff to have a complete engine? How much of my stock 94LT5 could be used?

FU

Years ago this stuff would have went fast as hell. Times are tough out there with no let up in sight. Slow economy ? The economy is stalled and won't start !

no kidding.
It took me a little bit to sell the 402. Once the ball got rolling there was 3 buyers.

what do you want to build.

The block is 4.00 bore Im sure .010 to clean it up. If use your stock 350 crank (offset ground) 3.75 you would have 380ci. on the stock rods. need new pistons. use your cams, oil pump, pan, chains, front cover, damper, flywheel, chains,.... all the little bits from the 350.

just a start.... or go $5k for crank and jump up to 400+ci.

USAFPILOT

I always thought I would eventually do one of those offset grind builds one day. They seem to be the most economical, but any rebuild is out of my reach at the moment. For now a stock 350 headers and tune is about all I can afford. It is very tempting though. The AF doesn't pay me enough to do what I want with this car yet.

The block is fine, there was no damage to it, it spun a bearing but didn't take out any part of the block.
