I think I MAY have located the source of my engine oil leak. The bottom of the oil temp sensor had a drip hanging from it. I removed and reinstalled this sensor recently, when I also resealed the oil cooler fittings into the oil filter housing. The oil cooler fittings appear to be dry. I used teflon tape on all 3 of these locations, but the oil temp sensor does not appear to have sealed well. The FSM calls for Loctite 565 on these threads. I'd like to get this buttoned up today, is there an alternate product available that is able to be substituted for Loctite 565? Did I just not use enough teflon tape?

Thanks
Andrew

Follow-up - upon closer inspection, the teflon tape around the oil cooler fittings had yellowed, due to oil saturation. I'm going to re-do all three connections with the proper 565 sealant (on Amazon for under $20 shipped), and as luck would have it, the temp sensor needs to be replaced anyway due to rotted plastic. Guess the car will be laid up for a few days again. For reference the AC Delco PN for the temp sensor is 10096136
